Connect the measured object to the measuring end, start the instrument, increase the test voltage to 1.06 times (or 1.1 times) of the rated working voltage of the measured object, switch the phase conversion switch, read the secondary reading respectively, and select the leakage current value of the large reading.

Notes for the use of high voltage tester:

(1) In long-term operation, the high voltage tester must not only withstand the effect of the rated working voltage, but also withstand the overvoltage effect that is higher than the rated working voltage for a short time during the operation (the overvoltage value may be several times higher than the rated working voltage value). Under the action of these voltages, the internal structure of the electrical insulation material will change. When the overvoltage strength reaches a certain value, it will cause the insulation breakdown of the material, the electrical appliance will not operate normally, and the operator may be electrocuted, endangering personal safety.

(2) The main test indicators of electrical safety of high voltage tester include AC/DC voltage resistance, insulation resistance, leakage current, grounding resistance, etc.
